Job Description

Employment Type:

Full Time

Hours Per Week:

30-40 hours

Type of Child Care:

3 - 5 Years

Position Start:

As soon as possible

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, preparing and implementing age-appropriate activities based on children's individual development and interests
  • Observe and document children's progress and participate in program planning as required
  • Supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities
  • Ensuring children's safety and well-being
  • Assisting children with daily care routines
  • Light housekeeping duties to ensure program facilities and equipment are safe and clean

Qualifications:

Basic ECE

Additional Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Education Certificate required
  • A Criminal Record Check clearance letter
  • Current First Aid certificate required
  • Ability to provide satisfactory references
  • Understanding of Emergent Curriculum/Reggio Emilia Philosophy
  • Effective guiding and caring skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be passionate about the job
  • Strong work ethic

Required Experience:

  • Experience working with children in a childcare center
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

Salary & Benefits:

  • $25-$27 per hour with wage enhancement included
  • Full-time (30-40 hours per week)
  • 3 month probationary period with payroll and benefits for the right-fit staff
