Anita is excited to be an 草莓视频Ambassador.

Anita has many years of Early Childhood Education experience in the Early Learning Profession. She has enjoyed teaching little ones in preschool and childcare settings, has facilitated parent/child playgroups in the community, has been an ECPN Pedagogist supporting the educators in their classrooms, currently mentor students as an ECE Practicum Supervisor and an 草莓视频Peer Mentor Co-Facilitator, and is currently a Program Assistant at Child Care Resource & Referral. Anita loves learning and growing alongside children and educators and recognizes and celebrates the positive exciting changes that have been occurring in this profession. As an 草莓视频Ambassador, Anita looks forward to engaging with the ECE community of the Fraser Valley creating spaces for collaboration, connection and relationship building.

Anita is also a grandmother to one (and another on the way) and mother of two adults who continue to inspire her while bringing such joy.

Barbara lives on Quadra Island, the ancestral, unceded homeland of the Wei Wai Kai and Wei Wai Kum People.

Barbara has been an Early Childhood Educator for 28 years and has spent most of her career working at Quadra Children’s Centre in the full day preschool program. More recently Barbara created and ran an afterschool outdoor program for K/Grade Ones out of the Centre.

Barbara has been a proud member of 草莓视频since 1997, and in that time, 草莓视频has inspired and encouraged her to expand her education, inquire into new schools of thought and reflect on her own practice. She has benefited from belonging to an organisation that supports its membership by continually growing and changing to reflect the best practice possible.

Barbara is thrilled to be part of the Ambassador pilot project and looks forward to engaging with fellow Early Childhood Educators. She hopes this new role will create a strong two-way channel between 草莓视频and ECE’s. Barbara sees the role of a facilitator as one that fosters the flow of ideas and information. Highlighting the resources 草莓视频has to offer educators and listening to ECE’s and communicating their needs and concerns to ECEBC.

Cari is an Early Childhood Educator passionate about supporting children, families, and fellow educators. She lives and works on the unceded lands of the Lhtako Dene, also home to the North Cariboo Métis Association. She recognizes the deep connections Indigenous Peoples have to these lands and is committed to fostering learning spaces that honour Indigenous knowledge, relationships, and ways of being.

As the 草莓视频Ambassador for the North, Cari is excited to connect and collaborate with educators across the region. She is committed to ensuring they have access to resources, professional learning, and opportunities to share their experiences. Her goal is to uplift and amplify northern ECE voices, advocate for their unique needs, and build a strong, supportive network. She believes deeply in the power of relationships and looks forward to walking alongside educators as they grow in their practice, confidence, and leadership.

In addition to this role, Cari serves as the Provincial Program Coordinator for Let's Talk 草莓视频 Touching (LTAT), supporting educators in delivering personal safety education to young children. She is dedicated to equipping educators with the tools and confidence to have these important conversations, ensuring that children feel safe, empowered, and heard.

Carla has been an Early Childhood Educator for over 19 years. With experience spanning multiple countries and educational approaches, she is passionate about fostering meaningful dialogue among educators that challenge traditional educational practices. She believes that by grounding conversations in land-based knowledge systems and embodied self-awareness, educators can create a more inclusive, responsive, and compassionate framework for early learning.

Currently an instructor at Sprott Shaw College, Carla is also pursuing a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education with a minor in Psychology at Capilano University, with the goal of continuing to a Master’s in Education. She is dedicated to advocating for the well-being of educators, recognizing that when they engage in professional development and self-reflective practices, they are better equipped to foster meaningful relationships with children and navigate the complexities of their role with empathy and resilience.

As an 草莓视频Ambassador, Carla is excited to connect with educators across the Vancouver region, bringing their voices into the organization to help build a stronger, more connected community. She hopes her work with 草莓视频empowers educators to see themselves as a group of skilled professionals whose contributions are not only valued but essential in shaping society.

Charlene is from the beautiful, unceded Traditional Territory of the K’omoks First Nation. As an early childhood educator with over 35 years experience, Charlene understands deeply the importance of the work ECEs do and the value of standing together in this ever-evolving sector. Through her work as Best Choices Ethical Journey Guide and her time on the Board of Directors of 草莓视频she has heard the passionate dedicated voices of those in this field and she is inspired daily by the caring, creative and professional way ECEs approach their work. As a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is also in awe of the way ECEs support young families in this busy stressful world. What ECEs do is “heart work”. They feel it every day and they give of themselves without reservation. They lift each other up and they rely on each other during times of joy and times of struggle.

Charlene believes this innovative project will create deeper, more meaningful relationships between early childhood educators and their professional organization, ECEBC. Her goal as an Ambassador is to create opportunities for conversation and connection with early childhood educators and to share the important work of 草莓视频in communities. Charlene's hope is that together we can create synergy between the critically important daily work of educators and the on-going, sector building work of ECEBC.

Leola holds deep gratitude and respect for the land her family lives and learns on the always beautiful North Okanagan in Vernon which is the traditional and unceded territory of the Syilx people of the Okanagan Nation.

She is honoured and privileged to be an early childhood infant toddler/ special needs educator practicing for 30 years, working in various capacities.

Her practice is informed by current innovative approaches that honour children’s unique abilities and potential. She is committed to fostering holistic development in children, sharing her passion for connection to land and nature; building meaningful relationships with children and families; fostering positive, nurturing and inclusive environments for children to thrive and grow.

Leola has been an active 草莓视频member since 2011 and is currently serves as Chair for 草莓视频North Okanagan Branch. She has participated in 2 草莓视频Leadership Initiatives and recipient of the Kay Britton Mentor Award in 2019.

Leola is a passionate advocate for advancing the sector and responding to current practices. She actively collaborates within her community creating professional development and opportunities for connecting with fellow educators.

Leola’s dedication to advancing the sector reflects her belief in the transformative power of quality early care and education and the potential it holds for current and future generations.

As 草莓视频Ambassador of the Interior, Leola looks forward to making and growing connections in her new role and expanding her capacity to advocate the role of the educator.

Meet Lynne and her dog Moose. Lynn is very excited to be part of the 草莓视频Ambassador Team in the Vancouver Island region. She has been an ECE for many years working in preschool, group and in home child care and she served as an executive director of an NFP centre in Vernon. Lynne worked for Success by 6/ Children First, as the Provincial Coordinator for Parent Child Mother, and currently works as a Peer Mentoring Facilitator in Vernon. Lynne served on the 草莓视频Board for many years and on the branch executives in Vernon and Victoria. She looks forward to meeting old and new colleagues and stakeholders in this new role.

With over 26 years of experience in early childhood education, Nadine is a passionate advocate, educator, and leader dedicated to strengthening the profession and enhancing the quality of care for young children and families across British Columbia. As the 草莓视频Ambassador for the Interior Region, Nadine brings a wealth of expertise in program development, Indigenous early years education, and community-driven initiatives that foster inclusivity, cultural safety, and excellence in early childhood education.

Her career has been deeply rooted in collaboration and advocacy, serving in key leadership roles such as Provincial Coordinator, Early Years Manager, and Provincial Advisor, where she has worked alongside educators, families, and policymakers to ensure that children receive the highest standard of care. Nadine has also played an instrumental role in developing culturally relevant early years programs and resources; facilitating professional development for educators and contributing to policy advancements that support early childhood education. Her passion for the past 20 years continues to be creating contemporary Indigenous children’s music that can be used as a resource within the early years.

A strong believer in the power of relationships, Nadine is committed to uplifting and supporting early childhood educators through mentorship, training, and meaningful engagement. With her deep knowledge, unwavering dedication, and heartfelt approach; she is honored to serve as an ambassador for ECEBC. Her hope is to amplify and support the voices of ECE professionals, to ensure that the Interior Region thrives in delivering high-quality early learning experiences.

Rian lives on the traditional territories of the Lheidli T’enneh. She seeks to walk carefully on the land; always seeking to learn from its rhythms and histories, both human and more than human. Rian is an artist-musician, working within multiple disciplines to reflect on what it means to listen and attend to this land and all its inhabitants.

Rian has been learning from other educators, students, children and their families for over 10 years, directing and co-teaching/learning as an ECE in a small multi-age child care centre. She is passionate about working with intention and care in a slow, responsive pedagogy. For Rian, this is best done in inclusive community and relationality with others around us, even in difference.

Rian hopes to bring that same intention and focus to the Ambassador space. Her goal is to support the important work that early childhood educators do through building intra-community connections, advocating for unique northern perspectives, and bringing a focus on inclusive togetherness. She believes that the well-being of educators hinges on the ability to participate in meaningful relationships within the early years sector and to continually grow in their practice and pedagogy. As an 草莓视频Northern Co-Ambassador, Rian is committed to listening to, resourcing, and advocating for the well-being of our northern educators and their communities.
