The Mount Pleasant Community Centre Association is seeking a caring, responsible, and enthusiastic Inclusive Program Leader to support children from 6 months to 5 years in our childcare centre. This role offers hands-on experience working with children in a fun, safe, and engaging environment. The Program Leader will support daily childcare activities, foster positive development, and help create memorable summer experiences for children.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage children in daily activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment
- Assist in planning and leading age-appropriate activities
- Support outdoor play, walks, and active play.
- Initiate activities and experiences that reflect an inclusive philosophy
- Coordinate with team members to support children with additional needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of activity spaces
- Provide guidance and positive behaviour support to children
- Assist with snack and meal supervision, ensuring health and safety standards are followed
- Communicate effectively with educators, parents, and supervisors
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs
Skills
- Childcare-related training and/or experience is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, responsibility, and a positive attitude
- Ability to supervise groups and ensure safety at all times
- Creativity in planning fun and engaging activities
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Knowledge and commitment to inclusive practice in diverse community setting is an asset
- Leadership qualities and ability to model positive behaviour
Qualifications:
Basic ECE
Additional Qualifications:
Licence/Certification:
- ECE Licence
- First Aid Certification Level B
- IT and SN certificate Asset

Required Experience:
- Must be between 19-30 years of age
- Must be Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- At least 1 years childcare experiences.
Salary & Benefits:
$23.02-$29.58 plus 4 % vacation pay (Depends on the experiences)
