NSCR is seeking a Manager, Child and Family Programs to lead, coach and develop a team of Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR) Consultants and others committed to serving families, child care providers, and early childhood educators. This role has a strong people-leadership focus, requiring a manager who is passionate about supporting staff growth, fostering accountability, and building an engaged and collaborative team culture. The Manager, Child and Family Programs will build mutually beneficial relationships with other organizations to expand impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership

  • Recruits, supervises, supports, and evaluates a dynamic team of committed staff with experience in early years development and child care
  • Contributes to strong organizational culture as part of NSCR’s Leadership Team

Program Leadership

  • Provides strategic vision and direction for NSCR’s Child and Family Programs
  • Creates systems for measuring program impact through appropriate metrics and data
  • Develops and maintains strong, collaborative partnerships across the sector including with the Ministry of Education and Child Care, municipalities, school districts, Vancouver Coastal Health, and other non-profit organizations
  • With offices in North Vancouver and West Vancouver, ensures the appropriate delivery of service contracts and other grants – including the Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR) and the Community Action Program for Children (CAPC)
  • Represents NSCR and the Child and Family Programs on various committees
  • Coordinates and reports back to CCRR’s funder

Financial Management

  • Identifies and secures sustainable funding sources for programs and services
  • Develops and executes program budgets on time and on budget
  • Ensures timely and appropriate financial reporting to the Executive Director and funders

Years Experience Required:

5

Required Experience:

  • Early Childhood or other relevant post-secondary education, an asset
  • 5+ years experience leading a team, ideally in the field of early childhood education, exposure to CCRR is ideal
  • 3+ years experience in program design/evaluation and financial management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and confidence representing an organization/program publicly
  • Strong organization, time-management, and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of social service organizations and cultural competency reflective of the North Shore community are assets

Salary & Benefits:

$70,000 - $80,000/year | Benefits Included
