Daycare Assistant (Internal / External)
Reporting to the Daycare Supervisor, the Daycare Assistant assists in the day-to-day operations of the t虛aatn虛 a蕯a艂uk – Taking Care of Children Centre (TCC). The TCC is a licensed childcare facility offering group care for children aged 30 months to school age.

Duties And Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate and supervise developmentally appropriate and safe activities for Children aged 30 months through school age.
Plan, coordinate and supervise developmentally appropriate and safe activities for special needs Children, in the 1-1 role of Behaviour Interventionist, as needed.
Assists in training and supervising Child Care Workers and Relief Staff
Opening and closing the Centre.

Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) or Early Childhood Educator Certificates *(ECE)

Salary & Benefits:
Regular Wage: $28.56 for ECEA or $30.75 for ECE *excludes ECE-WE top-up
Probationary Wage: $25.70 for ECEA or $27.67 for ECE *excludes ECE-WE top-up
Position: This is a unionized position subject to the terms and conditions of the collective agreement between CUPE Local 118 and the District of Tofino.
