Kootenay Talent + Recruitment is partnering with Fernie Child Care Society to recruit Early Childhood Educators (ECEs), Assistants (ECEAs), and Infant-Toddler / Special Needs Educators (ECE IT/SNE) who are passionate about making a difference in children's lives.

- Early Childhood Educator / Infant-Toddler Educator (x2) – Full Time
- Early Childhood Educator Assistant (x1) – Part Time

The Roles
The Infant/Toddler ECE cares for and meets the needs of children ages 10 months to 3 years old and provides engaging, age-appropriate activities to stimulate healthy development across social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language areas.
The Early Childhood Educator cares for and meets the needs of children age 10 months to 5 years old, plans curriculum based on development domains, and provides engaging activities for children to explore, create, discover, and learn.
The Early Childhood Educator Assistant supports the ECE or IT ECE in caring for children aged 10 months to 5 years, supports curriculum planning, and helps deliver engaging activities based on children's interests and curiosity.

Qualifications:
Post Basic ECE
Additional Qualifications:
- BC Registered certification as ECE, ECE with Infant Toddler, or ECEA
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- First Aid with Childcare CPR (training provided if not yet certified)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- 2 or more years of previous childcare or early-learning experience is an asset

- Build positive, ongoing relationships with families
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom

- Work closely with fellow educators and Supported Child Development professionals
Salary & Benefits:
Wage Rates:
- ECEA – $22.00/hour
- ECE – $30.50/hour
- ECE Infant Toddler – $31.00/hour
* ECEs may qualify for an additional $2/hour ECE Wage Subsidy through Columbia Basin Trust.
