Wildernest Childcare is a licensed group childcare center just 10 minutes south of Golden, BC. Our program provides high-quality care for children aged 3-5 years, with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, exploration, and holistic development. We are looking for an educator who would like to join the team as the lead ECE onsite and help create a healthy, supportive environment that will accommodate 8 children, with ambitions to grow (to max 25 kids). This is a unique opportunity to be a part of establishing a new childcare space and provide input into the development of routines, systems and areas for the children to learn and thrive.
This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive wages and a supportive workplace culture.

- 10-minute drive south of Golden, BC at Horse Creek
Qualifications:
Basic ECE
Additional Qualifications:
- Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate in BC
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Clear Criminal Record Check

Required Experience:
- A passion for outdoor learning and child development
- Ability to work alone with max 8 kids.
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Additional courses/training related to child growth and development an asset
Salary & Benefits:
- $28.00-$33.00/per hour (The indicated wage includes wage enhancements ranging from $6 to $9 per hour.)

Additional Information:
Candidates from other countries must hold valid Permanent Resident (PR) status or valid work visa for at least 1 year. As a starting childcare facility, we are not eligible to help with immigration at this point.
