Temporary Part-time Out of School Care Educator
Britannia Child Care Department envisions early education and care spaces where children, educators, and families walk alongside each other to co-create diverse, equitable and respectful communities.
We are a successful not-for-profit provider located in Woodland Drive, Vancouver, and have been serving the Grandview-Woodland community since 1973. Our child care facility consists of one 3-5 program and two school age programs, soon to be three! Our dedicated out of school care space provides care for children ages 5 to 12 for before and after school, professional development days and during the Winter, Spring and Summer breaks.

Qualifications:
School Age Certificate
Additional Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Responsible Adult Certificate and/or ECE/ECEA certification
- Current First Aid Certification
- Clear criminal record check
- Ability to communicate well in English, verbally and in writing
- We are seeking individuals that have a passion for working with children and families; that have Early Learning and Care experience, skills and abilities; and enjoy working in a team environment
- This position requires a high energy, enthusiastic person with a positive attitude and a passion for supporting and advocating for children and families
Required Experience:
HOURS OF WORK
Monday to Friday – 7:30 to 9:00 am & 2:00 to 6:00 pm (split shift is required)
Holidays & School Breaks – Must be available full-time hours, between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm
July & August – 7-hour shifts between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm
Salary & Benefits:
WHAT WE OFFER
Salary – $23.02/hour + ECE Wage Enhancement for ECE certification $6.00/hour
Benefits – 9.2% in lieu of vacation, stat holidays + ESA 5 days paid sick leave
