2:30-6:00pm (plus 7:30-9:00am for additional 7.5 hours if available)

We are seeking energetic, caring, and responsible School Age Child Care Workers to join our child care team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is a strong communicator, and is passionate about creating positive experiences for children within a group setting:

You love to plan and implement age-appropriate activities across all curriculum areas -  collaboratively with children, and even if the idea is outside your comfort zone. 

You are able to supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children - both inside and outside, with big groups, and small. 

You build positive relationships with children, families and staff - especially with those who may be overlooked or have extra energy.

You believe all staff share responsibility for chores, so you assist with whatever needs doing - prepping food, sweeping floors and tidying equipment.

You support children's emotional and social development, because you know that's the most important part of your work.

You maintain a welcoming, inclusive and respectful environment, because everyone belongs.

 

 

Qualifications:

Other: Responsible Adult Certificate

Additional Qualifications:

Hold a valid First Aid, Food Safe, clear Criminal Record and immunization record.

Completed or in process of obtaining a degree in a relevant field such as Recreation; Education; or Child and Youth Care an asset.

Completed ECE an asset.

Salary & Benefits:

$23.57/hr plus $6 BC Government Wage Enhancement for staff with their valid ECE.
