Into the Woods Early Learning Child Care Studio is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the positions of: Early Childhood Educator (ECE) and Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA).
Please note: We are looking for a full time ECE to join our Infant/Toddler program, a full time ECE or ECEA to work as a float between two programs and a part time (25hrs/week) ECEA to work as classroom support in our 3-5 classroom.
The Early Childhood Educator and Assistant work under the direction of the Executive Director to implement an emergent, nature and play-based Early Learning program. They will provide quality child care to community families from ages 0-5.

● Certified Early Childhood Educator, currently licensed to practice in BC is mandatory , I/T or S/N certificate an asset
● Current First Aid
● Food safe certification an asset
● Clear Criminal Record check
● Experience working in nature programs an asset
● Experience working with children ages 0 - 5
● Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills
● Willingness to work various shifts during operating hours

Compensation and Benefits:
● $24-$26.50 per hour
● BC Certified ECE Wage Enhancement pay in addition to above wage
● 4% vacation pay plus 8 bonus days off (divided between Summer and Winter Break)
● 7 paid sick days
● 13 Statutory holidays paid (2 more than required by BC employment standards)

Additional Information:
This job is open to candidates that hold a valid ECE or ECEA License to Practice in BC as well as the ability to commute or relocate to Qualicum Beach.
