SSOCC's Heron After School Care is searching for a manager to start as soon as possible (Maternity Leave position). Heron is located at Mitchell Elementary, In Richmond (Cambie & 5 road), next to the adult education centre.

Required Experience:
While we appreciate that a wide range of experiences contribute to helpful experience as a School Aged Care manager, the forgotten does require at least 1 year experience as a manager on a VCH licensed child care program, preferably a licensed after school care program. We will consider a minimum 1 year experience working within a licensed child care program plus managerial experience in any context if there is other exceptional experience.
The applicant must have expert level knowledge of the licensing act. Demonstrated experience with developing positive daycare-family relationships is also required.
Salary & Benefits:
Rate of pay 23 - 24.50 / hour depending on experience within an out-of-school-care program and as a manager on license within Vancouver Coastal Health. If the applicant is eligible for the wage enhancement, this will be added to the hourly wage.
Typical work hours are 2:30 - 6:45 on-the floor, Monday - Friday. Administration hours are provided at the rate of 30 minutes per week per full time child (approx 10 hours per week). Professional Development Days and daycamps run 8:00 - 4:30 (please note, no winter break daycamp for 2025).
