Job Description:
Under supervision, responsible for assisting in implementing and delivering high quality child care/preschool programming that is reflective of the Mission, Vision and Goals of the Comox Valley Children’s Day Care Society (CVCDCS), The BC Early Learning Framework and the 草莓视频Code of Ethics.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in ensuring activities and procedures comply with current licensing requirements
- Works within the policies and procedures of the CVCDCS
- Support daily classroom routines as required
- Follow the BCGEU collective agreement
- Utilize the BC Early Learning Framework to plan and implement inclusive, culturally responsive programming that supports the healthy development of all children.
- Assist staff in maintaining an inclusive, safe, healthy and happy environment indoors and outdoors
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness
- Implement positive guidance strategies and have a collaborative team approach to the job
- Assist other staff in performing their duties as required
- Performs related duties as required
Qualifications:
Other: ECEA Certificate
Additional Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certificate;
- Valid First Aid Certificate;
- Relevant experience working with children;
- Reliable mode of transportation to travel between sites if necessary preferred
- Completed 草莓视频Best Choices: The Ethical Journey Training an asset;
- Completed the BC Early Learning Framework Training an asset;

- Experience working with children in a child care environment, ages 18 months to 5 years
